Welcome to Peace Arch Campground (P.A.C.), located 1.5 Kilometers west from the Town of Lockeport, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The campground is a ground up concept creating a very unique and ecological rustic, friendly place that offers alternative and inexpensive camping experience plus it's 100% NON-SMOKING.
Furthermore, if you Google Lockeport, Nova Scotia, you will see the beautiful crescent beach (featured in above photo). The campground is only 700 meters away; a short walk. At P.A.C. you can rest at ease and enjoy your visit. Be advised that this site is rustic and currently does not have any amenities. So, bring what you need and take it with you when you leave. Larger vehicles over 28 feel long (Buses, A class or long trailers) please inquire first as space is limited.

BUILDING AN ECO-FRIENDLY CAMPGROUND
The goal of P.A.C. is to not only to build an ecological friendly campground but also explore for unique and creative ways in the design process by utilizing recycled materials and re-purposed items for the development of something new. The concept of "Nothing New" will aid in cost reductions in the development of a better environment.
Some of the key considerations:
-Harvesting and conserving rain water for washing and gardening. Including water cistern.
-Water filtration system added for safer drinking water, showers and washing
-Comprehensive compost system (for the garden to help in producing organic food for campers)
-Solar and wind generator system for clean energy.
-Composting toilets.
All structures will be portable thus elevating the need for excess materials.
You can help by purchasing any of the items from the SHOP. The products offered are very unique and exclusive to P.A.C. they are available for purchase on site or by mail. There will be more products available upon opening.
If you are interested in donating tools, building materials, solar power supplies, water filtration supplies, etcetera, or your time in exchange for a free stay on site, do not hesitate to contact us.
"Paint your peace" is part of the foundation in developing Peace Arch Campground. It is not the only concept that makes this place unique but it remains in the forefront and certainly is the largest undertaking.
The concept is simple: Guests are invited to paint a rock of their choosing (ample available). Be creative in your message of peace and include the peace symbol in your artwork. One may also include their first name, where they are from and the year.
On the east corner of the property is a large open field, there the outline of a massive peace symbol will be traced and participants will have the opportunity in placing their creation anywhere within the symbol. This is completely free.
The process in opening a trail, marking and preparing the field will involve time and funds. Donations would be helpful and items sold from the gift shop will fund the project to help set a world record.
The Google aerial view provides rough idea of the concept. The P.A.C. logo is covering the 5 acres of the 45 acre property and the green dots indicate the proposed path towards the field.
The peace symbol is not to scale but it should give a general indication of it's size.
TINY HOME / R.V. COMMUNITY
One of the most unique aspect of Peace Arch Campground will be a full time - OFF GRID - tiny home community nestled within the property. Plans are in the works and information will be posted as they develop. These images are just a sample to give you an idea of the concept. There are none on site at this time.
Introductory rate of *$300 per month (saving $100) and *$3,000 per year (saving $600) are currently available. A further discount will be offered to those who are willing to clear a patch of the property to their specifications. The allotted space will be approximately: 20 x 40 feet. Basically 800 square feet (800 divided by 2 = 400 minus 25% discount = $300) These dimensions can be adjusted to suit your needs. As the sites are build, current tenants will have the opportunity to relocate to newer sites.
